Ingredients, Explained

Our formulas are built around high antioxidant extra virgin, olive oil and finished with a small number of carefully chosen botanicals and essential oils. Each ingredient is selected for a clear purpose—only what’s needed for skin.

How We Choose Ingredients

We start with high antioxidant olive oil, then add only what supports the skin’s natural barrier. Ingredients are chosen for function, not trend, and used at meaningful levels

  • Chosen for Skin Compatibility

  • Kept Minimal to Reduce Irritation

Key Ingredients

Below are some of the ingredients we rely on most when formulating our products

OLIVE OIL

Our olive oil is selected for its antioxidant content, freshness, and skin feel — qualities that support the skin’s natural barrier. Unlike the refined or deodorized olive oils commonly used in skincare, ours is chosen specifically for topical use and handled with care from harvest to formulation.

CALENDULA

Traditionally used for delicate skin, calendula is slowly infused into our oil to extract its soothing properties. It is commonly included in care for sensitive or easily irritated skin.

BEESWAX

Beeswax helps protect the skin’s surface while giving our balms structure and stability. We source beeswax from small producers, where quality can be more closely monitored.

In addition to providing structure, beeswax supports moisture retention, helps shield the skin from environmental exposure, and contributes to a more breathable protective barrier when used thoughtfully.

ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils are included selectively and at low levels, only when they serve a clear purpose in a formula. We do not use essential oils for fragrance alone and avoid unnecessary scent.

When used thoughtfully, certain essential oils can support the overall character of a formulation while respecting sensitive skin and external use considerations.

Formulated with intention and clarity.

What We Leave Out

Synthetic fragrance

We do not use synthetic fragrance. When scent is present, it comes only from small amounts of carefully chosen essential oils used for a clear purpose.

Petroleum-derived ingredients

Our formulas do not include petroleum-derived ingredients such as mineral oil or petrolatum.

Artificial dyes or colorants

We do not use artificial dyes or colorants. Any variation in color comes from the natural ingredients themselves.

Unnecessary fillers & stabilizers

Each ingredient is included for a reason. We avoid fillers and stabilizers.

Over-complex formulations

We keep formulations intentionally simple. Fewer ingredients can make it easier to understand what you’re using and how it may interact with your skin.
